As part of the Euro is You project, the professional teams from Action Bomaye and Balkans Beyond Borders are trained in short film production techniques to use them as tools for raising awareness and supporting young people. With these skills, the professionals can encourage youth to use cinema to express their stories and build self-confidence.

Training Program

Learning the Basics

Training in the fundamentals of cinema, including scriptwriting, directing, and shooting.

Creative Workshops

Practical exercises in directing, oratory skills, and emotional management, aimed at passing these skills on to young people.

Teamwork

Collaboration to develop inspiring content that raises awareness of inclusion and sustainability challenges.

Editing and Post-production

Acquiring editing skills to produce relevant short films, to be used at events and festivals.

Skill Development

Provide teams with technical skills to introduce young people to cinematic techniques.

Content Creation

Produce short films that will be used for discussions on social inclusion and the environment.

Environmental Awareness

Encourage the use of eco-friendly practices in the film production process. 

Expected Results

Thanks to this training, the teams will have powerful tools to engage young people around the values of inclusion and ecology. The short films produced will be used at community events and festivals, giving young people the opportunity to see their stories represented and raise awareness among a wide audience.

Our Project

Euro is You is an Erasmus+ project dedicated to filmmaking and social inclusion. In partnership with Balkans Beyond Borders, Action Bomaye is committed to supporting young people from priority neighborhoods in Marseille and Spetses, who are often marginalized and in precarious situations. By using cinema as a tool for expression, the project offers participants the opportunity to explore their creativity, strengthen their self-esteem, and develop valuable skills for the future.

Our Goals

Encourage artistic expression

Young people participate in short film creation workshops, allowing them to explore audiovisual art as a means of communication.

 

Promote active citizenship and inclusion

Through screenings and public debates, we raise awareness in local communities about inclusion and the fight against discrimination.

Reduce 
environmental impact

A practical guide is designed to reduce the ecological impact of festivals, providing advice and tools to organizers for sustainable events.

Mobilities in Greece and France

A rich program of creative workshops and cultural exchanges. The young participants will discover local traditions, work in teams, and exchange ideas on the social and cultural challenges of both countries. This project encourages intercultural dialogue and the creation of lasting connections while valuing diversity.

Mobility In France

The EURO IS YOU project, within the framework of the ERASMUS+ program, organized discussions and roundtables on the role of cinema in social empowerment and environmental awareness.

During the 15th Balkans Beyond Borders Short Film Festival, Alexia Tsouni (filmmaker and activist) and Veroniki Krikoni (co-founder of Balkans Beyond Borders) explored how cinema can emotionally mobilize, give a voice to marginalized communities, and provoke social change.

Mobility In France

During the second phase of Euro is You, the professionals from Balkans Beyond Borders were hosted in Marseille by the Action Bomaye team. This stay provided the teams with the opportunity to collaborate in a creative setting and exchange ideas on awareness-raising methods through cinema.

BOOTCAMP 

Workshops to train in acting, scriptwriting, and shooting techniques, with the goal of providing better support.

Screenings of short films, followed by debates on the social challenges addressed in the films.
